SUMMER SALMON FISHING ON LAKE MICHIGAN

(July 20th - August 25th)


Come prepared for this adventure on the Lake Michigan Waters! Most of our Lake Michigan charters you'll find us fishing King Salmon and Coho Salmon more often than not.


It is the most exciting type of fishing in Michigan. We do come accross other fish species such as Brown Trout, Steelhead, and Lake Trout.


The sunrises and sunsets are hard to beat! Ludington has the most unique structure to set us up for success. Our salmon charter trips range between 8-20 mile runs. We fish with state of the art sonar, mapping, and Livescope to target salmon which helps us increase our catches. Our trips start early in the morning, which gives us the best chance of catching salmon.


We use top of the line fishing gear including Daiwa Reels and Rods to battle these big fish to give us the best chance to land them.

King Salmon Charter 


We mainly target King Salmon throughout the short season on Lake Michigan. They tend to bite early in the morning when the sun is rising or at night as the sun is setting. King Salmon range from 10-30 lbs., depending on the time of year. The best part of a King Salmon is the fight! 

Lake Trout Fishing Charter 


We do not target Lake Trout very often, but occasionally we catch a few when we are targeting other species. When we do target Lake Trout on Lake Michigan, we use several tactics such as tapping bottom and using long lines to get our lures deep into the cold Lake Michigan waters while Trolling. Lake Trout are one of the best species to smoke and save for those cold winter days. Lake Trout range from 8-25 lbs.

Lake Michigan Steelhead Fishing 


Steelhead, aka Rainbow Trout, are a blast to hunt and catch. They are mostly found in the top 20ft of water column, along the surface breaks of Lake Michigan. Trolling with Silver Streak Spoons is our personal favorite way to target them. Steelheads make it very apparent when they hit, Coming out of the water putting on a show for all guests. Steelheads in Lake Michigan range from 6-10 lbs.
